Dr. Aad van Mourik is a graduate of the Free University of Amsterdam, and he obtained his PhD in Economics from Maastricht University.
Dr. van Mourik is the Academic Coordinator of the EMBA in Sports Management and Professor of Economics at MSM. He works as a part-time Professor at the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium).
Dr. van Mourik was formerly employed as an Associate Professor at the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA), as the Academic Director at Maastricht University’s Center for European Studies, as the Dean of the Cologne Business School (Germany) and as the Academic Director of Hogeschool Zuyd’s Hotel Management School.
Prof. van Mourik possesses 27 years of teaching and training experience in academic, higher education and vocational training (economics) programs in all EU, Central- and Eastern European countries, as well as the USA. Besides this, he has 15 years of experience in economic policy consulting and technical assistance projects for governments of EU member states and governments in Central and Eastern Europe, consultancy & training experience at the highest levels in central banks of (prospective) EMU countries, as well as design, organisation, management, and teaching of  European integration seminars for the most senior level civil servants and top-executives of multinationals.Dr. Van Mourik has trained hundreds of junior and senior diplomats in the Dutch Foreign Ministry, as well as civil servants in the Dutch economic and Social Affairs Ministries on a regular basis since 1994.
